Superflirt Festival returns to Amsterdam on Saturday 29 August 2026. The queer festival takes place at Kaap Amsterdam and runs from 1:00 PM to 11:00 PM. Superflirt brings together different parts of the queer scene with music, performances, bold outfits and stage hosts from Amsterdam nightlife.

Following the previous edition, Superflirt moves from Sunday to Saturday in 2026. The organisation describes the festival as a queer safe space and a festival for, with and by the community. So do not expect a traditional mainstream summer festival, but a day where different queer subcultures, music styles and looks exist side by side.

Where is Superflirt Festival 2026?

Superflirt takes place at Kaap Amsterdam, IJdijk 10 in Amsterdam East. The waterside venue gives the festival a different atmosphere from the large festival grounds outside the city.

Superflirt is also relatively easy to reach by public transport. From Amsterdam Central Station, take tram 26 towards IJburg. According to the organisation, it runs approximately every ten minutes and the journey to Bob Haarmslaan stop takes around 11 minutes. From the stop, it is approximately a 10-minute walk to Kaap Amsterdam.

Coming by car? Parking on the festival grounds is only possible with a separate parking ticket. The organisation warns that only a limited number are available.

What kind of festival is Superflirt?

Superflirt is a queer and open-minded music festival where community and self-expression are central. The festival aims to bring together different subcultures within the LGBTQIA+ community. Its relatively compact size distinguishes Superflirt from some of Amsterdam's larger queer festivals.

You can also see this in the format. Rather than simply programming artists under one festival name, Superflirt works with stage hosts, each bringing their own crowd, music and atmosphere.

Superflirt says that more partners will be announced. This means the musical programme can vary considerably. The organisation itself refers to multiple stages and a wide range of music genres.

What is the Superflirt dress code?

The official dress code is simple: come as you are.

At Superflirt, that certainly does not mean everyone appears in everyday clothing. The organisation itself mentions examples including drag, underground raver, fashionista, fetishist, klub kid and jeans lover. There is therefore plenty of room to experiment with your outfit.

At the same time, you do not have to feel dressed up to fit in. A bold festival outfit works, but jeans with a shirt or tank top fit the official dress code just as well.

What should you wear to Superflirt Festival?

Because Superflirt is queer, open-minded and strongly focused on self-expression, you can go further here than at the average summer festival.

A jockstrap under shorts is practical, for example, if you want a light outfit and the option to remove a layer later in the day. A harness, mesh top, singlet or bold tank top can instead become part of the outfit itself. A thong or brief can also suit a more expressive festival look.

Besides appearance, keep in mind that you may be standing and dancing on a festival site for up to ten hours. Comfortable shoes and clothing that lets you move easily are ultimately more important than an outfit that only looks good in a photo.

Tip: combine one bold clubwear item with simpler clothing if you do not want to travel to the venue fully dressed in fetish or clubwear.

Jockstrap, harness or singlet?

Which festival outfit suits you mainly depends on how much you want to show.

A jockstrap gives plenty of freedom of movement and can be worn under shorts. A harness is visible and can immediately turn a simple outfit into a bold club look. A singlet covers more of the body, but its cut can place a lot of emphasis on body shape.

For warm weather, mesh and lightweight synthetic fabrics are worth considering because thicker materials can quickly become warm during a long festival day.

Are there lockers at Superflirt?

Yes. Medium and large lockers are available to rent on the festival site. This is useful if you bring an extra piece of clothing or want to dress differently during the day from how you travel to and from the festival.

How do you pay at Superflirt?

Superflirt uses tokens on the festival site. According to the organisation, you can buy these using both card and cash. The festival is therefore not fully cashless.

Can you eat at Superflirt Festival?
